I agree that the accident should raise aviation safety issues common with other runway overrun cases.

I agree that it is a is a mistake. And it is wrong not to support those those that are pushing for extensions of the regulations that cover all commercial operations.

Daniel:
I enjoyed reading your post. I too am a pilot, as well as a plaintiff's attorney here in Scottsdale, Arizona. I have been married for just the past six years, and have two small children; needless to say, life is very different now than when I obtained my private certificate. The first call I ever make after landing is to my wife, to let her know that it was a great flight.

I also have a special affinity for Block Island. My father has a boat he keeps in Stonington, CT, and introduced me to the wonders of Block Island about twnety years ago. We head out there on a boating trip about once a year, weather permitting. It's quite a haul from Arizona, but someday I hope to fly out there as well (other than the New England Airlines flight from Westerly, RI to Block, which I first made last year!)

Keep posting, Daniel. We need more plaintiff's attorneys like yourself who are passionate about the people they represent. And if you are ever out this way, or ever have an opportunity to co-counsel on a matter here in Arizona, feel free to look me up.

"The NTSB made the unusual decision because American Airlines improperly accessed black box information without the participation of the NTSB and other authorities."

Is this the only excluded airline? Does your decision exclude international airlines?

I am sending this e-mail for my Uncle James Flyn. He is being treated for respiratory problems which he dr. attributes to 9-11 and the quality
of air. He was not a rescue worker but was in the area when the buildings collapsed. Please advise He is 70 and is currently working

I am ATP, A&P IA rated. I have just spent 2 years repairing issues with the Riley converted P337. Both Riley and at least 1 other after market product have compromised the 337 strucure. Riley even installed non strucural screws on the top stress panels. I would check the screw part numbers. check rileys installation of the outboard rivet sets, check to see the wing stress panels were installed under the nacell fairings. The feds are not capable, they will blame it on pilot error. If you look you will see mechanical error.
